This statement explains which of your data Slaapluxe processes, why that happens and what your rights are. We keep it short and in plain language.
Who processes your data
Slaapluxe, the shop behind slaapluxe.nl, is the data controller. You can reach us through the contact page or at 06 48 47 65 04.

What we process from you
This is what we process about you:
- If you send us a message we process your name, your email address and the content of your message. We do that in order to answer your question. We do not keep those messages longer than we need to in order to help you.
- If you visit the site our server writes standard log lines with your IP address and the address requested. That is part of running a website and is needed for security.
Cookies and measuring
For the running of the shop we use functional cookies. In addition we ask your consent for marketing cookies from Meta (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, the company behind Facebook and Instagram), through the Meta Pixel. As long as you do not give consent, nothing is loaded from Meta and no data goes to Meta. The fonts also load from our own server.
If you give consent, the pixel tells Meta which products you view, put in your basket and buy, with the amount and a cookie ID (the cookie _fbp, which stays for at most three months). We do not send your name, address or email address. Meta uses this to measure our ads and to show ads to people who resemble our customers. We and Meta are jointly responsible for collecting and passing on this data; what Meta does with the data afterwards is described in the Meta privacy policy, including on processing outside the European Union. Your consent is voluntary and you can withdraw it at any time through the link Cookie preferences at the bottom of every page.
The shop software places functional cookies. Those remember what is in your basket and whether you are logged in. Without those cookies a web shop cannot work; your consent is not needed for them. We only place cookies other than these if you give your consent.
Ordering and paying
When you place an order, we process your name, address, email address, phone number and your order details. That is needed to carry out the agreement with you. Your payment runs through Mollie, a payment service provider; we see whether you have paid, but we never get to see your full payment details and we do not store them. Order details that belong to the administration we keep for seven years, because the Tax Administration requires it. After your order we send you a confirmation and an invoice by email. To be able to deliver your order we pass on the data needed for that, such as your name, delivery address and phone number, to our regular partner in the Netherlands who prepares and ships orders, and to the carrier. You may create an account when you check out, but you can also order as a guest. With an account we keep your data so that your next order goes faster, until you ask us to delete it.
Our messages
When you sign up for our messages we process your email address and the moment you signed up and confirmed. You first receive a confirmation email; only when you click it do we add you to the list. We use your address to keep you up to date on the shop and the collection. We send those messages from our own server, so no other party is involved. You can unsubscribe at any time through the link under every email; we then remove you from the list. Your consent is the legal basis, and you can always withdraw it.
Who we share data with
Only with parties needed to make the shop work: our hosting company (within the European Union), Mollie as payment service provider, our regular partner in the Netherlands who prepares and ships orders, and the carrier who delivers your parcel. With those parties we set down that they may use your data only for us. Only if you give consent, we share data from the Meta Pixel with Meta (see Cookies and measuring). We do not sell your data and we do not pass it on for advertising by others.
Your rights
You may ask which data we hold about you, have it corrected or have it deleted, and object to its use. If you have given us consent, for example for our messages, you may withdraw it at any time. You may also ask to receive your data in a common file format. Send your request through the contact page; we respond within a month. If you cannot resolve it with us, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Changes
If anything changes about how we handle data, we will update this statement. This version is from 6 October 2026.
